After releasing his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, Jack White has already filmed one music video for the track “Love Interruption”. Now he returns with a new video for the song “Sixteen Saltines”. The video involves Jack White in a world run by children, which is comical in it’s own way.

Ever since 2005 The Morning Benders have been known as well, The Morning Benders but they are now changing their name to POP ETC. The name change comes due to the realization that it carried a bit of a different meaning over in Europe and particularly the UK. They felt that the name became a distraction and the best way to fix it was to change their name. If you want to read the whole reason, head over to The Morning Bender’s old website. Along with the new name came new music via a mix tape, which you can download here.

Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles has been busy working on a solo EP. It was released yesterday and now it’s available to stream. The EP is fantastic, and carries a 60s vibe throughout it with overlaid guitars and Rossen’s distinct voice. The album was released via Warp Records.

The Temper Trap are back with a new album in the works that’s due out June 5th on Glassnote/Columbia Records. The album will include twelve tracks including “Rabbit Hole” which you can listen to below. The album includes a fifth member to the band on keys and guitar, and was produced by Tony Hoffer, who is also known for producing albums by Beck, M83, and Phoenix. Lemons EP was released in October of 2011, a great representation of what the band is, it pulls from their previous single releases to create a formidable first EP.  Tessa’s voice is rich and a refreshing take on female vocals for an indie act.  Each song is filled with witty, catchy lyrics which fits right in with the poppy instrumentations.  The band has some international dates still on the books, before heading to the US to take part in Sasquatch Festival this May.  With such an affinity for catchy pop melodies, they definitely are an act to keep an ear out for.

No Sam.  No Diane.  Not even a Fraiser or Woody, but this is still The Cast of Cheers.  These four hail from Dublin and are armed with some serious synchopatated rhythms.  “Family” has recently been released as their first single as both a 7″ inch and digital download.  The band has a slew of tour dates scheduled for 2012 so far and are undoubtedly looking to break into the US.  ”Family” is sure to appeal to a wide array of indie fans, and should garner interest from the outside with the kind of musical prowess on display here.  Between these guys and Two Door Cinema Club there are some serious indie chops coming from Ireland these days.  The Edge must be proud.

Last week the folks at Sasquatch revealed their lineup for this year’s festival, which includes Beck, Jack White, Bon Iver, Pretty Lights, The Shins, and many more. The festival will be taking place from May 25 through the 28th (Memorial Day Weekend) at The Gorge in Washington. We will be posting tracks from many of the artists playing in the coming weeks.

Tickets are $315.00 for a 4-day pass, which includes standard camping.  Tickets will be going on sale on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00am (PST).
