Just three years ago Andrew Bird released Noble Beast which ended up being one of my favorite albums of 2009 and now he is back with Break it Yourself(3/6), an album that will be familiar to old fans, while still bringing a slightly new sound. It’s one of those albums that deserves to be listened with headphones due to the subtle intricacies that can only be heard by sitting down and devoting time to the music. Each song is different enough to keep the album interesting and different from past albums. Bird’s wit still stands true in his lyrics, and his whistling is as good as ever. Make sure to check him out while he is on tour in the next few months, it will definitely be an enjoyable show.
